Danville, IL- Agnes W. Parker, 92, of Danville, formerly of Bismark, ND passed away at 8:49 PM on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Hawthorne Inn of Danville. She was born on June 4, 1921 in Cullman, AL to Ola and Birda Mae Lambert Chambers. She married Rev. Edward B. Parker on September 8, 1951 in Greensburg, OH. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1999. She is survived by her two sons, David (Lori) Parker of Danville, and Tim Parker of Dallas, TX; and a granddaughter Cassie Parker. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her dad and mom, a brother, and her son, Mark Parker. Agnes was very involved in the various churches her husband Rev. Ed served, as well as raising 3 lively boys. She and her husband were involved with several United Methodist charges in North Dakota over 50 years, beginning with McKenzie, Menoken, Sterling and Moffit charge. They moved on to the Oakes-Cogswell Charge, and then to Wishek-Lehr from where Edward retired. They were further involved with the Hebron Church following retirement. Agnes also enjoyed making various ceramics, as well as being a reader of historical christian fiction. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Agnes will be held at the United church of Christ in Wishek, NDak. on Thursday August 22 at 10:30am. Reverend Marty Toepke-Floyd will officiate. Burial of cremated remains will follow at Wishek City Cemetery. Memorials in her name may be made to World Gospel Mission (wgm.org.) Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville is in charge of local arrangements.
