Agatha Gonguar

Agatha B. Gonguar, 80, of Westville, died at 5:45am, Friday, March 19, 2010, at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home, Danville. She was born of Lithuanian decent on August 30, 1929, the daughter of Joseph and Valeria Winauski. She was married to Joseph J. Gonguar on November 5, 1949, at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Westville. He preceded her in death in 1979. Survivors include: her son, Jeffery J. Gonguar of Midlothian, IL; her nieces, Valeria (Michael) Tiernan of OFallon, IL, Dorothy (Michael) Hope of Ridge Farm, IL, & Patricia (Peter) Sonner of Aurora, CO; her nephews, Frank Winauski of Danville, Joseph Winauski of Colorado, & Paul Winauski of Barre, VT; her many great nieces & nephews; and several great-great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her brother, Joseph S. Winauski; and a very special uncle, Julius Butty Lucas. Agatha was a member of St. Marys Church of Westville. She enjoyed swimming at the YMCA and gardening. She was a caregiver to her husband, mother, brother, and uncle. Agatha loved gathering with her friends to go out for coffee. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00am, Monday, March 22, 2010, at St. Marys Church, Westville. Fr. Timothy Sauppe will officiate. Visitation will be 2pm to 6pm, Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel with Rosary to be held at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Pauls Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in Agathas name to St. Marys Church.
