Adella Mae Sollars

Newport, Ind. - Adella Mae Sollars, 43, of Newport, passed away at 10:03 a.m. EST Saturday, January 19, 2019 at her residence.

She was born March 10, 1975 in Terre Haute, Indiana the daughter of Robert L. and Yvette (Jones) Sollars.

Survivors include her children: Robert Sollars and Thelma Doan both of Newport, Indiana; Calvin Doan of Terre Haute, Indiana; grandson: Braxtyn White and her mother, Yvette Sollars of Newport, Indiana.

Adella was preceded in death by her father, Robert Sollars, and brother: Robert Michael Sollars (October 11, 1977).

Adella was a member of the Newport Church of God. She was a 1993 graduate of North Vermillion High School. She enjoyed writing poetry, working on crafts and singing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Braxtyn.

Cremation was accorded. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 3 to 5 p.m. EST at the Newport American Legion. A memorial service will follow the visitation. Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date at Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Indiana. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
