Adeline Strako

WESTVILLE- Adeline (Deknuydt) Strako 78 of Westville passed away at 9:55am on Monday, December 27, 2004 at her residence. She was born in Iowa on August 1, 1926, the daughter of Charles and Margaret Deknuydt. They both precede her in death. On November 30, 1946 she was united in marriage to the late Steve "Pete" Strako. He preceded her in death in June of 1997. Surviving family members that will miss Adeline include her three sons, Daniel (Kathy) Strako, Craig (Brendia) Strako, and Kevin (Beth) Strako all residing in Westville, as well as her daughter, Melissa (Doug) Quick of Alvin, IL. Also surviving are her eight grandchildren, Darren and Damen Strako, Brandy (Craig) Riggen, Miranda and Mindi Quick, Charity (Chris) Davis, and Tyler Strako, as well as two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Tristen Riggen all of which will miss grandma. After graduating from Georgetown High School in 1944, Adeline settled down and became a homemaker. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards and boardgames with her sisters, participating in bowling leagues and being with family and friends. She also was involved with the Westville Women's Auxillary and a club called, " The Mary Misses Club".
