A. Williamine Miller

A.Williamine Miller 87 of 106 West Mulberry Street Georgetown went to her eternal home at 7:04 P.M. Monday March 20, 2006 at her home. She was born October 23, 1918 in Danville the daughter of Samuel F. and Margaret Greta Gray Evans. She married Roy W. Miller on March 15, 1937 in Veedersburg, IN. He preceded her on June 2, 1982. Surviving are five sons, Arlyn (Alice) Miller of Danville, Dave (Ella) Miller of Teutopolis, Leroy (Cathie) Miller of Georgetown, Rick (Grace) Miller of Danville, Monty Ray(Donica) Miller of Covington, In, three daughters, Sheryl (Richard ) Kinney of Tilton, Marsha (Curt) Gordon of Georgetown and Christy (Bill) Hoskins of Danville, two special cousins, Jack (Barb) Stewart and Allan (Martha) Stewart and a sister-in-law Kathryn Fegett and two brother-in-laws Ben (Mary) Miller and Carl Hettsmanburger. She has 28 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Deanna Johnson, a great-grandchild, and a very dear aunt, Isabella Stewart. She was raised in Vermilion Heights and graduated from Danville High in 1936. Besides raising her nine children she worked at G.E., Rhodes-Buford, and Ridbo. She was a member of 1st Midwest Banks Club 50. She was a member of TOPS-Chapter 1261 Westville and had been a longtime KOPS and Chapter Queen. She was a member of 1st Assembly of God Church for many years. She enjoyed gospel music, taking trips, shopping, visiting with friends and family and singing and dancing. She enjoyed her family very much. She especially enjoyed getting together with classmates of 1936. Her trust in the Lord got her through good times and rough times. As a praying mother she was our confidant and dearest friend. A Celebration of life funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Friday March 24, 2006 at 1st Assembly of God Church 420 N. Walnut St. Danville, IL. Pastor Art Tabels will officiate Burial will be in Oak hill cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 P.M. Thursday March 23, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
